Woman claims poorly maintained parking lot caused injury

Dealing with an injury can be inconvenient, costly and time consuming no matter what the accident was that caused it. However, for people in Louisiana who have suffered a personal injury because of the carelessness or negligence of another person or party, the sting of being injured and having to pay money for the consequences can be even more frustrating and demoralizing.

For one woman in Florida, this is exactly how she felt after suffering permanent injuries in a fall in a parking lot in Myrtle Beach. She and her husband were pedaling their bikes through the parking lot of a Kroger store after having shopped at the establishment. The woman hit a pothole on the surface which caused her to lose control of her bicycle. The impact of her crash resulted in permanent injuries.

The woman and her husband are seeking nearly $2 million in damages for the trauma and subsequent stress the incident caused. The couple claims the landowners, who they filed the lawsuit against, was aware of the pothole. They had markings around it so that it could be repaired, but failed to make the repairs in a timely manner thus resulting in the woman’s crash and injuries.

If people have received a debilitating personal injury because of someone else, they may be eligible to receive compensation for the pain and suffering they have endured. Working with an attorney may provide them with the best chance at acquiring compensation with the help of a legal professional who has both the experience and the knowledge to create a compelling case.
